The right alternative

Does your fireplace no longer meet the requirements of the Federal Immission Control Ordinance?
Then now is the right time to replace your old appliance with modern, low-emission firing technology. We can help you find the right solution - quickly, easily and reliably.

Locate the type plate
Using the information on the rating plate, we can quickly and reliably check whether your appliance is already affected by the replacement deadline. On this basis, we will determine suitable alternatives for you. If no type plate can be found on your fireplace, it will unfortunately be difficult to clearly identify it. In these cases, we are usually unable to make a reliable statement, meaning that a replacement is usually necessary. Our technical tips will show you where to find the type plate. For fireplace inserts, it is usually located under the ash box (for exceptions, see technical tips).

Fill in the form
Please fill in as many fields as possible in the form so that we can process your request in the best possible way. Then send the completed information by e-mail to info@camina-schmid.de.
How an exchange works
How can I recognize a heating element? Older models of cast-iron heating inserts often have a small viewing window or none at all. In addition, they usually have a handle for the firebox and another for the ash pan.
How can I recognize a fireplace insert? A fireplace insert usually consists of a steel body and has a large glass-ceramic viewing panel that provides a beautiful view of the fire. It also emits heat into the room immediately after lighting.
How can I recognize a fireplace cassette or open fireplace? Fireplace cassettes are used to close existing open fireplaces and significantly improve the heat output. Typical features are so-called "grooves" above and below the viewing window, which are used to regulate the air flow. Fireplace cassettes are made to measure and therefore offer a tailor-made solution for your fireplace.

With a replacement appliance, you can keep the traditional casing of your tiled stove, but heat with lower emissions and more sustainably in accordance with the requirements of the 1st BlmSchV Stage 2.
