Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV)
The first ordinance for the implementation of the Federal Immission Control Act (Ordinance on Small and Medium-sized Firing Plants - 1st BImSchV) applies to the installation, quality and operation of combustion systems that do not require an approval according to § 4 of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). The regulation makes a significant contribution to reducing emissions from combustion plants.
Depending on the type of fireplace, limit values for dust, carbon monoxide (CO) and a minimum efficiency are required in two stages. Level 01 came into effect on January 2015st, 2.
